Restaurant Associates provides food service on behalf of the University for Prospect House and other locations on campus – Palmer House, Meadows Café and Café 701. We are part of the Princeton University Campus Dining team.

Yes, Prospect House is able to cater in many locations on and off campus for official University events paid with a chart string account. We have catered in over 40 locations on and off campus.

Yes, we customize menus for over 10% of our events per year. Please ask your catering representative for options; we are always happy to get creative. It is best to share your budget so we can effectively create something wonderful.

Great, it is often times best to share your budget up front so we can properly serve you. Events held at Prospect and Palmer Houses will include house linens, tables & chairs, AC and heat.

We are happy to work with you to create your special event, coordinate the menu and rentals and provide vendor suggestions.

As per our liquor license, all departmental events held at Prospect House must purchase all, alcohol through Prospect House. Outside alcohol for departmental (and member) events is not permitted. We are happy to work with you to serve your requested product(s) for your event.

Both houses provide a warm atmosphere and any décor from simple to over-the-top works well. We are happy to provide you suggestions for local florists and designers. We do not permit items to be attached to walls with any ground scattering (rice, petals etc.) or open flames.

Members (Full-time and retired faculty and staff) and non-members (graduate students and alumni) are welcome to host a truly social affair (wedding, birthday, mitzvah etc.) at Prospect House for themselves or to honor an immediate family member (domestic partner, grandparent, spouse, sibling, child, and grandchild).

All outside groups with a 501c3 should contact Conference and Event Services to determine eligibility. Please contact [email protected] with your proposed event details. For-profit groups are not permitted to use our facilities.

We are happy to accommodate your guest(s) the best we can. While we have best practices in place to avoid cross-contamination, we do prepare all of our food in the same kitchen and with the same equipment. Please discuss in detail your needs with your catering representative.
Kosher requests can be accommodated during the academic year for breakfast, lunch and dinner with at least 48 hours notice Monday–Friday. Kosher meals are not available during June, July and August.

Prospect and Palmer Houses are not equipped with any media equipment. For University Department events, please contact Media Services. Outside groups must work with an
outside vendor. We are happy to provide suggestions. -

Students can host an event with the approval of the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students and must be paid for with a chart string account.

Events need staffing to prepare the food, set the rooms, maintain the event and clean up the event. We are happy to provide you with alternate options to help lower the costs in some instances and our catering team is happy to discuss the options with you.

Catered University events must be paid for with a chart string account. All outside groups must pay by check, payable to Restaurant Associates, or by credit card at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Garden Room and Terrace Café lunches may be paid for with Paw Points, Tower Card or major credit card. Cash is not accepted in these locations.

Prospect House is the private faculty club serving Princeton University's full-time and retired faculty and staff. Students are only permitted as guests.

Lot 10 and Lot 13 (off of William Street) are available after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and any time on weekends. It is approximately a 5-minute walk between the parking lots and Prospect House.

Prospect House is extremely limited with storage space. Please consult with our catering office. If your event needs items moved or mailed to Prospect House, please have them arrive the day of your event. The items then must be picked up immediately following your event. If your materials need to be shipped out, you must arrange for pick-up the next business day following your event (Monday-Friday 9 am-4 pm). Any items left after the conclusion of your event will be discarded.
