Media Control Center
AV equipment is selected and controlled through the Media Control Center (MCC) located on the wall near the doorway of each room. If the panel screen appears off or only displays the current time, tap anywhere on the screen to wake the system from sleep.
See the diagram below for MCC features and controls. Controls may vary by room and equipment.
The MCC is used for:
• Selecting input source
• Speaker and microphone control
• Camera control
• In-room display/screen control
• Projector on/off

1) Input/source selector
- Laptop: Wired screen mirroring from device via HDMI/USB-C
- PC: In-room computer (Mac computer)
- Apple TV: Wireless screen mirroring from device
2) Speaker Control
- Volume up/down/mute
3) Current selected source
4) Microphone Control (if equipped)
- Volume up/down/mute
5) System sleep
6) Additional Control Menus
- Help: Equipment system status, room information, and technical support line
- Room Controls: In-room display on/off, projector on/off, and projector screen control (if equipped)
Note: For rooms equipped with a projector, screen automatically lowers when Media Control Center is turned, retracts when in sleep
- Camera Controls: Camera pan, tilt, zoom control and camera selection (if equipped with multiple cameras)
- Video Mute: Temporarily disable/enable camera

Input Selection: Laptop
Device Types: Laptop with standard HDMI or USB-C port, mobile device with USB-C or Lightning (older iPhone/iPad models)
- Locate the HDMI cable connected to the wall source and plug the open end into your device’s HDMI port. If your device does not have an HDMI port, connect the HDMI cable to the provided USB-C or Apple Lightning dongle before plugging in your device. Your device should appear on the room’s display upon connection.
- When finished, disconnect the cable from your device.
- Locate the HDMI cable connected to the wall source and plug the open end into your device’s HDMI port. If your device does not have an HDMI port, connect the HDMI cable to the provided USB-C or Apple Lightning dongle before plugging in your device. Your device should appear on the room’s display upon connection.

Device Types: Mac, iPhone, iPad; Windows laptop with AirParrot software
Note: Device must be connected to “eduroam” or “PUvisitor” wireless network. Visitors will be prompted to register device before connecting.

Screen Mirroring
Control Center
- Click the Control Center icon located in the upper right of the screen
- Click the Screen Mirroring button
- Select the Apple TV for the room you are in (e.g. AppleTV-Prospect-Room#)
- A 4-digit code will appear on the room’s display. Enter this code on your Mac
- To end screen mirroring, repeat steps 1 and 2, then choose “Stop Mirroring”
iPhone/iPad
Swipe down to enter Control Center on iPhone or iPad
- Enter Control Center with a downward swipe from the upper right corner of your screen.
- Tap the Screen Mirroring button
- Select the Apple TV for the room you are in (e.g. AppleTV-Prospect-Room#)
- A 4-digit code will appear on the room’s display. Enter this code on your iPhone/iPad
- To end screen mirroring, repeat steps 1 and 2, then choose “Stop Mirroring”
Windows with AirParrot Software
Air Parrot Application
- Launch the AirParrot application
- From the “TO” menu, select the Apple TV for the room you are in (e.g. AppleTV-Prospect-Room#)
- To end screen mirroring, return to the AirParrot application and click the off button
- Click the Control Center icon located in the upper right of the screen

- Turn on the wireless keyboard and mouse. The switch is in the upper right of the keyboard and on the underside of the mouse. (Green = ON, red = OFF)
